QUEST VOICES 1.3
By Von Djangos

Description:
ElevenAI generated voices for quest-giving NPCs in Morrowind. Works with openmw.

Currently adds around 430 original lines of voiced dialogue.

These are mostly just around custom greetings around introducing themselves or asking on the status of your current quest.

They're all trained on the original voice actors, so its 'vanilla friendly' ai, if that's such a thing.

There's some fun easter eggs like Guild Guide dialogue lines or custom idles for some NPCs too.

Currently covers in full:

Caius Cosades
Neminda
Eydis Fire-Eye
Hrundi
Percius Mercius
Ranis Athrys
Edwinna Elbert
Gentleman Jim Stacey
Radd Hard-Heart
Raven Omayn
Arara Uvulas
Felisa Ulessen
Darius
Skink-in-Trees-Shade
Nileno Dorvayn
Fathal Retheran
Uvoo Llaren
Sjoring Hard-Heart
Imsin the Dreamer
Tuveso Beleth
Varus Vantinius
Frald the White
Big Helende
Aengoth the Jeweler
Larrius Varro
Special dialogue for Seyda Neen, Balmora, House of Earthly Delights
Wilderness NPCs looking for help (Naked Nords, lost pilgrims, etc)

1.3:
Aryon
Kaye
Many misc quest NPCs and NPCs with non-generic dialogue

What isn't covered?
Dark Elf males*, Khajiit, Orc males.

Unfortunately their distinctive voice patterns are cleaned or 'ironed out' by the AI, which mistakes them for artifacts or background noise.

*However, the Dark elf male voice that is created *is* pretty great - it just doesn't sound like the original Jeff Baker. I've used this new voice once - for Master Aryon and his questline.

FAQ:
Aren't AI-generated voices robotic/static?
They are over longer dialogue lines - when you put multiple phrases together. For short barks or a couple of sentances, with enough 'rerolls' and enough variance in the emotional output, you can get some stunning results.

Any tips for using ElevenAI?
1. When loading in your 50 samples, try to use the longest samples possible. Arrange the list by filesize, and be creative. Training the Breton Male voice will work better using the Chargen class questions than the standard greetings.
2. Keep the sentances short - the longer you try and run a dialogue block, the more likely it will either sound mad (too much tonal variety) or robotic (too monotone)
3. Pull the stability slider down to something like 20-25%, and get ready to reroll around 20 times to get a strong recording. Pretend you're a film director, and say 'I think we got it!' when you nail a take.
4. Putting *around a phrase* or a *word* will make the engine put emphasis on that word or phrase.
5. Exclamation marks and question marks do help guide the tone of voice.
6. Short sounds like Pah, Bah, Hmm or Meh can come through as authentic sounds.
7. The Dark Elf voice does sound good, just not like the original Dark Elf male voice.

These results are scarily good. Is AI going to take my job?
Probably, but until that happens, let's enjoy a whole new phase of voice-acted modding in Morrowind.

Everyone at the UESP pages. Without their work on writing out the dialogue and quest stage logic, this would have been a nightmare.

ElevenAI - Scary, brilliant stuff.

Most importantly, the original Morrowind voice actors resampled here:

Michael Mack - Redguard males
Gayle Jessup - Redguard females
Lynda Carter - Nord females
Jonathan Bryce - Nord & Argonian males
Catherine Flye - Breton females
Linda Kenyon - Dunmer females
Jeff Baker - Imperial males
